Cornball in the extreme

When this movie started I thought it was going to be a comedy.

Then I realized they actually meant for this to be serious.

As it turns out it was a comedy that started taking itself FAR too serious.

As other reviewers have already stated it is cheesy with shallow characters that are as ridiculous as I have ever seen.

There is so little fact that I laughed till I thought I would cry. It was worth watching just for the laugh.

I would say that the acting was like something out of middle school production but I wouldn't insult the middle school students.

The CGI was substandard at best.

New level of wasting time

Airplanes vs. Volcanoes is a movie about ,well as you would expect by the title, an airplane vs. volcano. This movie stars Dean Cain in the leading role alongside Robin Givens as they are trapped on a plane in among volcanoes trying to escape.

As you would expect this movie isnt very interesting in the slightest, actually the whole idea of this movie is nonsense.Normally as a reviewer i try to give movies a chance a small benefit of the doubt. For the most part some movies do have redeeming qualities, but there is movies such as this that really stretch it.

I find it sometimes hard to phrase how i feel about things and this one such case i dont. Firstly, let me start off by saying that this movie attempts to flesh out its characters, this aspect isnt focused on for very long as the dialogue between the characters either sounds clunky or forced preventing any type of development. Some characters present on the plane throughout the movie feel as if they are ghosts not reacting or saying anything. I would have expected, since the cast on the plane itself is very small, everyone to play a role in the plot someway but as you would expect are props to kill off or something along those lines. Most of the main cast of characters, including the likes of the protagonist and the air marshall, lack any sort of depth and to me felt one dimensional. As for interactions there lacks any kind of substance to hold interest for very long.

I found myself at many points during the movie laughing, just purely at how things kind of just happen. I feel as if, eventhough it is fictional, the amount of absolute nonsense characters say in this movie doesnt reflect the tone very well. The tone of this movie is very unclear as i felt that it was intentionally over the top and goofy, for the lack of a better word, but i think it was meant to be serious for the most part.

As of right now, and probably for the fact that i wont waste an hour and a half again, i dont recommend this movie to anyone. At the least get some friends together to experience this as you might get some laughter out of it.

So bad it's incredibly entertaining

Talk about a film that doesn't talk itself too seriously. You'll literally cry tears of catharsis as all your stress and whatever has been getting you down is forgotten and your sins are forgiven.

So many good parts... when they have to fix the engine, the first rescue attempt, the entire situation on the ground.

Believe it or not you can actually watch this film more than once. I've watched it a few times and each time I notice clearly intentional gaffes for the viewers entertainment. Enjoy!
