First and foremost, this is merely my personal opinion, if your here to tell me how bad of a movie it is, save it. I don't care what you have to say, However bias it may sound, I just know a good movie when I see one.
Not only was it the Best Jet li movie I have seen, I think it was one of my many favorite of many films that I have seen this year. With such great actors like Morgan Freeman and Bob Hoskins, and Jet li's acting has much improved as well. This movie combines some of my favorite genres from Kung-fu to drama, to action and perhaps even gore, this movie is rather violent. I think it was done so, as to convey the kind of violence that Danny inherited due to his evil master's example/ways. I think the story is perfectly believable, and it just keeps getting better, there isn't a dull moment from the jaw dropping fight scenes, some of jet li's best I think since Fist of Legend, and Once upon a time in china. To the growing relationships between danny and sam, to character and plot development. With a superb soundtrack, done by a great electronic band: Massive Attack. And beautiful cinematography. I have nothing more to say except it's the best movie I've seen all year, I suggest you go see it and enjoy it, as much as I did!

Synopsis
Two men cut off from the world in different ways become unlikely friends and protectors in this offbeat action drama. Danny (Jet Li) is a physically powerful but emotionally stunted man; never given any sort of proper education, Danny has learned little in his lifetime but how to fight, and his minder, Bart (Bob Hoskins), treats him more like a guard dog than anything else, using him in illegal no-holds-barred brawls that earn Bart plenty of money but only reinforce Danny's violent alienation. When Bart is injured in an auto accident, Danny is left to fend for himself, and stumbles upon Sam (Morgan Freeman), an elderly piano tuner who has lost his sight. Sam is the first person to treat Danny with kindness, and the music he plays soothes the troubled soul of the fighter. However, Danny's fighting skills soon come in handy when Sam runs afoul of a pack of small-time crooks who believe he knows too much about their operations.

Best Jet Li Movie
Jet Li's Best Performance!!!
A man enslaved by the mob since childhood and raised into behaving like a human attack dog escapes his captors and attempts to start a new life. Danny The Dog is no way a 7.0/10 kind of a movie it's actually way better than your average martial arts film it's thoughtful and pretty damn sad movie and the performances by Jet Li, Morgan Freeman, Kerry Condon and Bob Hoskins are truly excellent. The chemistry between Danny and Victoria feels very real and quite damn impressive for a film of this kind, Morgan Freeman's role is just fantastic as well he plays a blind man who eventually helps Danny threw music and actually the music part is without a doubt the most intelligent part of the film because Music DID save his Life and changed him to something better since he also eventually find out what happened to his mother. The fight sequences are excellent and as always Jet Li is fun to watch also Scott Adkins pops up as one of the fighters in the Arena just one year before Undisputed II: Last Man Standing (2006). The ending where Danny pictures Victoria as his mother playing piano really got me right in the feels. This is an action packed, dramatic and even funny film that has the guts to do something new with this particular genre and oh boy is it great? (A+)

Are you in the mood for an art-house style martial arts movie with a killer soundtrack? This has got you covered and then some. It's beautifully shot, the performances are great all around and the action is the best of it's kind. The story keeps you well engaged and the action is unique and memorable. Side note: Also known as "Danny the Dog"
